Giuseppe de Dominicis de Rossi is a forgotten Neapolitan master, dancer and composer; his profile is going to become more definite thanks to a little dossier of twenty-five documents, saved in Neaple’s State Archive. Here, it is possibile to find the last part of his life and his career at San Carlo Theatre’s Royal Ballet School, with his continuous demands to teach there. He writes about many difficulties and didactic challenges, to prove his value as a dance master. He has travelled in different countries and has created ballets in Europe, bringing in Naples his international experience, especially from Paris. This paper aims to give a documentary contribution with presentation and transcription of these twenty-five documents; here it is possible to find interesting references with the didactic method of de Rossi.
