  She studied ballet, modern dance, piano and philosophy. She began her career as a dancer and actress, then continued with her own creations, collaborating with great 20th century masters such as Étienne Decroux, John Cage, Merce Cunningham and Pierre Klossowski. Dancer Poetry is the name she gave to her special research into dance and poetry in the 1980s. Her work has been presented in Madrid, Milan, New York, Nice, Spoleto, Paris and Venice. In 2004 she was named Cavaliere al Merito of the Italian Republic. Since 2014 she has been curating the rearrangement of her repertoire for young performers.
