  Dancer, choreographer and director, she founded the Compagnia Patrizia Cerroni & I Danzatori Scalzi in Rome in 1974. She divides her time between Rome, New York and India, where she has made numerous tours sponsored by the Indian government. She has received international prizes and awards, including the Targa Chandigarh from the Government of India and the Targa d'Argento from the President of the Italian Republic. In over forty-five years of artistic activity and with more than forty productions (2000 performances in Italy and 53 international tours), Patrizia Cerroni has performed at the most important festivals and theatres around the world. More than three hundred professional dancers and twenty Italian choreographers have trained with her.
