The paper analyzes the accessibility practices pioneered by the Comuniello-Guarino duo and applied to the field of contemporary dance, with the aim to extend its fruition to the hypo and blind community. The hypothesis is that the duo generates an innovative practice which rethinks the specificity of embodied knowledge, transforming accessibility into perceptual writing and a dynamic, situated process, to be negotiated from time to time according to the artists' aesthetics and the needs of specific audiences. Contextually, the paper accounts for the different application domains and theoretical perspectives that formulate the concept of “accessibility”.
