Displacement strategies. The political as the ghost track of the dance of MK

Abstract

Starting from the analysis of the creative ways of MK, one of the most important companies in Italian dance of the latest generation, this article shows the political dimension that characterizes the company’s work in an implicit way. In fact, this political position is never affirmed through the contents of the performances, but the aspects that surround MK’s work put it in evidence, in a way that appears to be an attempt of flight from the body organization and its image imposed by the culture of the ruling power.
