She graduated in Arti e Scienze dello Spettacolo with the research thesis Percorsi di ricerca della scena contemporanea: Kinkaleri and in Saperi e Tecniche dello Spettacolo Teatrale, Cinematografico e Digitale with the research thesis Pantalone nella Drammaturgia romana del Seicento (Università di Roma “La Sapienza”). From 2009 she is Ph.D candidate in Tecnologie digitali e Metodologie di Ricerca per lo Spettacolo at Dipartimento di Storia dell’Arte e Spettacolo of the same University, where she also collaborates with the chairs of Storia del Teatro e dello Spettacolo, Teoria e Pedagogia dell’Attore, Teorie e Tecniche dell’Attore, held by Prof. Roberto Ciancarelli. Her PhD research project, grew out of a close and fruitful collaboration with the International Choreographic Arts Center (ICK Amsterdam) directed by Italian choreographer Emio Greco and Dutch director Pieter C. Scholten, explores in depth the mechanisms of production, incorporation and transfer of repertoire in contemporary choreography.

Abstract

This paper collects research and experiences that address the crucial issue of transfer and hybridization of techniques in contemporary dance. The system of references proposed here, obtained from an extensive Italian and International literature and from a range of relevant examples developed in theoretical and practical fields, provides an account of new and original critical perspectives that today reveal the opportunity to structure and encode different stylistic articulations and variations of movement within the choreographic field.
