She graduates in Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University L'Orientale of Naples with a thesis on the twentieth century's aesthetics of the avant-garde. She obtains a Bachelor's Degree in Literature and Philosophy at the University La Sapienza, with the experimental thesis The Figure's Theophany. The visual/performative device's architecture of Alessandro Sciarroni's body of work (2007-2015). She attends several formative projects at the Romaeuropa Fundation, and she's the curator of the editorial web project DNAscritture. Currently, she's doing her Ph.D. at the University La Sapienza, where she conducts a research about the relations between performing arts and visual arts in the Nineties.

Abstract

The essay examines Alessandro Sciarroni's poetics adopting a trasversal eye, on the crossline between historical and critical studies, dance and visual arts. The starting point of the work is made of a series of interviews to the author himself in the years 2013-2014. Furthermore, it represents an updated synthesis of the thesis Theophany of the Figure. The performative and visual device's architecture in Alessandro Sciarroni's work (2007-2015). The aim of the study is to provide a critical interpretation of the choreographer's whole body of work, through its comparison with other representatives of the “inter-disciplinary” Italian and European contemporary dance.
