Dance artist, choreographer, training consultant, she directs the centre for dance education, Mousikè, in Bologna, within the same structure she is responsible for the national Course for Danzeducatore® which trains dance practitioners in educational and community dance. She is President of DES - National Association Dance Education Society. She taught educational dance issues at the University of Bologna both in the Faculty of Education and in the Art department of the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy. Parallel to her theoretical investigation, focused on the interaction between teaching skills and method in educational and community dance, she works in a variety of contexts, delivering lectures, classes and workshops for schools teachers, dance teachers and professional dancers and creating special performing projects with cross-generational people. Abstract

The practices, representations and researches within community dance are varied and multifaceted. The analysis of the most frequently used words within this field has become an opportunity to reflect on my personal vision and experience, but also to try discerning the potential congruence between the used vocabulary and a common reference system of values and principles.
